2494.9 miles in 8 days, solo Rocket ride

So, every year my family has a reunion in Oklahoma City. Every year, I skip it. I live in Phoenix, OK city is 1000 miles away, that is just too much for me to travel, just to stand around drinking in a hotel bar for a day and a half. This year, I decided to go, and to make it truly fun, I decided to ride the Roadster, and take the scenic route!!

Loaded up the bike and left home Wednesday the 18th, and returned this past Wednesday. The Rocket performed flawlessly, and it was one of my best vacations ever!! Pics to follow.

So, day one I made it about 550 miles to Fort Sumner NM, the home of Billy the kid's grave, lots of museums about him, and this restaurant with surprisingly good, authentic New Mexican cuisine! (I ate so much I barely made it across the street to the hotel!)

There is a steak under all that cheese and green chili's!
