2025 rocket 3 prolonged occasional starting.

2025 Triumph Rocket 3 Storm GT
Recently I notice if I let my bike sit for a day then try to start it, it won't start right away. I have to hit the start button twice for it to finally catch. I have 1600 miles on the bike. I,ve had the bike about a month now.

I use premium gas and all fluids are where they should be. I have had it happen twice so far. I typically ride it to work everyday and will go for a night ride and never have the problem untill I have to leave it sit due to it raining that day. Anyone ever experience this? Seems like the second time I go to start it after the prolonged first attempt it catches right away.
 
I'm guessing a potential issue with your battery. Check that your cables are snug. If OK, next time you don't ride for a day or two check the charge on the battery before starting. I suspect it could be low.

I do have a usb adapter in the handle bar plug now that shows voltage. Ill have to see what it reads when its been sitting and see if its any different when I ride it a lot. Ill also check the battery connections.
 
I've found those USB hubs aren't very accurate (I use them too). If you have a multi-tester that would be ideal.
Also, if you've added any accessories to your bike that could be pulling down the battery.

Ill check it with a multimeter as well. Thanks for the heads up. Nothing extra added.
 

Mine does that every now and then. Not sure if it's the same issue, but sometimes when I hit the starter it cranks over fine but won't start. If I let up on the start button and then press it the second time it always starts instantly. It's almost as if something in the ignition circuitry isn't turning on with the first press of the button but works fine on the second press. I've just gotten used to it and now if it doesn't start immediately on the first press I just let up and hit it again and it always fires right up the second time.
 
Mine used to never start on the first go, even with a new battery and a tender, and even trying a car battery once. It's not the battery.

Now, about 10% of the time it starts on the first go but struggles to run for about 3 seconds before coming up to idle speed. The other 90% it still takes two attempts.
 
Noticed the same. Always starts, but maybe 1:10 it’s a 2-, almost 3-sec chugga-chugga and a puzzled look. Seems to be on cool mornings (40’s, 50’s), so i chalked it up to running 15w50. Maybe that’s not the cause; don’t know. New bike, 8800mi.
 
One thing you can try (and it's free) is when you click the rocker to ON and hear the fuel pump prime, give it an extra 4 seconds before hitting START. It could be simply the fuel rail isn't suffiecently pressurized before you hit the start switch.
 
Could it possibly be the fact that you use premium gas? Unless you have a tune these bikes are made to run off of regular unleaded. If I fill up at a discount gas station I use mid grade but have never tried premium and have never had the issue you are reporting.
