2025 R3 Storm

I found a 2022 R3 silver/red with a werks slipon I tried to purchase for a week and gave up today to buy a new leftover 2025 R3 Storm. Have a look.
I have the 2025 R3 Storm GT - same color! Added Werkes slip on & will be replacing the turn signals with pin lights. Wonderful machine; I enjoy mine a lot. Happy & safe riding!

When you took delivery of your new bike the suspension was set to no preload. That will break your spine in short order because there isn't any travel for medium to large bumps. There should be a preload adjuster on the left side under the seat. The table in the owner's manual is garbage; you need to add preload to add shock travel. It should be fully clockwise so that it can't be turned anymore in that direction. To add preload, you turn it anticlockwise and it will 'click' as the preload is added. You can start with adding maybe 6 or 7 clicks and see how that feels. To get it right have someone measure your static sag while you sit on the bike and then adjust the preload until you have about 30 to 35mm of sag. The damping adjusters are on the right side under the side panel. Back that off (anticlockwise) to no damping and start from there after a few rides to dial in the ride quality.

How much do you weigh (6-7 clicks)? And do you carry a passenger or have panniers added? Thanks!

I have mine set at around 10 clicks because I weigh 325 pounds. No luggage and no passengers (widower). That recommendation comes from owning 6 Triumphs and having to dial the suspensions in on all of them. The number of clicks is a starting point, not an end point. The rebound damping can make the ride harsh too because the spring is restricted from returning to full extension by the damping action fast enough that the next hit can bottom the shock. By removing all damping the spring isn't restricted. What you dial in damping for is to stop the 'pogo' effect if you get that. At my weight I don't.

Appreciate it; thanks!
