2021 Oil inspection cap

My bike was delivered without oil inspection cap so dealer just sent me one. Is there some sort of trick to put it on? I can't seem to figure it out.

mine has 2 notches in one side, 1 in the other... just align it properly, twist and shout.

Mine is the same but when I twist it doesn't seem to have the tags grab...

its real easy so maybe you have the wrong one....

Thanks guys. It has to be a wrong part. I have appointment next week for break-in service so will have the dealer check it out.

Take pictures. The tabs can unfortunately break off. ****ed shame they used plastic for the locking mechanism, instead of any kind of metal.

Thanks guys. My plastic tabs were sitting too far down. I bent them up and was able to get metal tabs to slip under.

Coolant cap and oil filler cap are cheaply made, My Briggs lawn mower has a better set up.

I lost another oil cap. Does anyone have a trick to keep these on?

Weird how they cut corners on an expensive bike. All the caps are cheap and flimsy.
