2018 r3r ecu locked?

Hello all, I have a 2018 r3r and want to update the tune with tuneecu, I have seen some comments about the ecu being locked on this bike. Is that true or can I load a new tune? Thanks in advance for any help!
 
If it is the 2.3L Rocket III (I think the 2018 is) then the ECU is unlocked and you can load a new tune/map using TuneECU with a USB OBD2 cable. If it is the 2.5L Rocket 3 (I think 2019+) then the ECU is locked, but TuneECU can load/write (but not read!) a map with the OBDLink LX or MX Bluetooth (firmware version 4.3 or up).
