Just to wrap this mystery up....even though the Red R3s are the fastest as the Wolf indicated, the 3700 miles i was referring to was on the 06 Rocket that was totaled in the accident. I had the capped off port on that bike and did the same set up on the new 07. And no problems so far with the new bike....
