  1. Urgent! Tyre pressures needed fir standard rubber!

34 front and 42 rear......unless you are darkside in which case anything from 27 to 31 rear. There has been some talk about the front tyre pressure as a result of "cupping" wear but having raised it with my local Triumph guy (who's opinion I respect) he said stick with the 34. See ya to-morrow!
  2. Bevel box breathing oil

That is about the size of it. The old Lucas lighting systems were universally crap and dim plus the switchgear could cause failure at any time! Hence the "Prince of Darkness" tag.
  3. Bevel box breathing oil

Take thee not in vain the name of the Prince of Darkness!
  4. Trident exhaust

£100 cheaper on this site! http://www.triumph-online.co.uk/trident-exhausts-rocket-3-stainless-steel-exhaust-system-one-into-two-absorption-system-6313-p.asp Like Paul says, looks like you have got 2 bottom pipes!
  5. Kill Switch Usage?

I have only ever used the kill switch once. But it took an hour of trying to figure out why the bloody bike would not start to realise I had "accidentally" used it! I guess we have all been there. However, I seem to remember that the lights were still on which would be the power...
  6. brake pad inspection

...or you can get a CD manual from fleabay for not much.
  7. Seat removal

Yes there is a ring you pull . if you have a look round under the seat you will see it.
  8. Front Brakes

OK..I give up. You on the beer again tonight Paul? :P
  9. Front Brakes

It is good to see that members are applying the full extent of their tech. knowledge on this forum  Women.....no problem! Just tell me about the brakes.
  10. Front Brakes

I just took the front brake pads out to check them. They are fine (about 4mm left to go). When I replaced them I retracted the caliper pistons (having cleaned them up), put the pads in and then pumped the brake lever to put the caliper pistons back in touch with the pads. The lever now has...
  11. Rear Diff Problem

    Looks like someone overfilled it.
  12. reverberation under load

Mike, If the reverberation goes away if you drop a gear then mine is the same. It is most noticeable if you really load the engine at a lowish speed in a high gear. I also first noticed it after I fitted the cat delete and had the re-tune. I guess it is normal and not a worry.
  13. Popping with just cat delete

Yes. I have this set up exactly and it "pops" well. Some people don't like it but I love it. If you want to get rid of the decel pop you need to go down the Tuneboy route. I do some touring with "management" on the back and I find the cat delete and stock pipes loud enough for this in...
  14. Headlight upgrade HID on fleabay

Check the Fleabay ad again. I may be wrong but I think it is £49 per headlight. I have heard tell that a cheap and nasty HID kit can fry the bike's electrics if it goes tits up.
  15. No spark.

Is the crank position sensor good and correctly fitted? If not the ECU will not fire the plugs.
  16. Clutch slip

It seems that if you have a later lifter shaft and standard springs you stand a chance......early lifter shaft with anything you could be in for trouble!
  17. Popping out of first gear into neutral under load

+1 on this. My 07 does it very occassionally but only when it wasn't fully in 1st to begin with. I have now learned the "feel" of it being in 1st and not in first...if that makes sense!
  18. Clutch slip

Yes, but even the later ones struggle with uprated clutch springs......ask Perds :D
  19. 34 mpg so far

I managed a creditable 40 mpg (imperial) overall on the mersey Salvo with 43 mpg for the trip back. :D
  20. Alarm mounting question

The Triumph (Datatool) alarm is fitted under the seat behind the battery.
