WARNING !! Watch out for this potential disaster when filling fuel tank.

Just got back from shortened touring trip to France . . on the train. I wont waste your time with my moans, but just tell you the facts. After topping up the Roadster tank on a rainy morning, we rode steadily out of Blaine. At the 2nd mini roundabout, I had to brake a little for a lorry to...

Very rough idle; only from cold !

So this is now resolved. Had to change out the silencer (muffler), for a legal one, prior to France roadtrip. During the swap, I noticed the Lambda sensor wires - exiting the rubber plug on the sensor - had been chafing due to insufficient clearance to the adjacent metal cover. The insulation...

Very rough idle; only from cold !

Hi, So it started and idled from cold perfectly . . . . then 2 mornings later, I started her up as usual and it idled from cold very unevenly; missing and hunting, like an injector was occasionally blocking. 3 minutes later (when the ECU recognizes that the engine is now warm) it starts...

Very rough idle; only from cold !

Been unable to find this issue in previous threads. Hope someone has dealt with it. So when starting - only from cold - my 2013 roadster starts up, but idles very unevenly. It usually stalls a few times in the first 3-4 minutes whilst it is warming up. Once the bike transitions to 'warm' ...

    Clutch: spring or washer?

I also plan to fit 40mm bolts to the spring towers, this should allow the bolts to extend further into the actual basket and re-enforce the towers a tad.

    Clutch: spring or washer?

I think the springs have nibbled into the three towers. The springs I took out are rough to the touch, whilst the new barnett springs are slightly bigger diameter and super smooth. I had not planned to remove the outer basket but will now dismantle it tomorrow.

    Clutch: spring or washer?

Looking forward to refitting a new set of friction and pressure plates into the outer basket. Just noticed that the parts catalogue and manual both show opposite sequences for installing the 'anti-judder spring' and 'anti judder washer'! The manual shows 'washer' then 'spring' then plates . ...

    clunking clutch

Hi Guys, Had a clunking noise started on my 04 rocket. When dropping into 1st - in traffic or at a junction - and pulling clutch in, the engine clunks and the bike tries to judder slowly forward. Realised it was probably time to fit the new Barnett clutch plates and springs and also do the...

Hi again warp, Checked Cam chain tensioner drop for first time. 22mm drop and a 3mm shorter than new spring. Going to spacer it now and order parts. Guessing tensioner can be reset when off, so new spring (73mm). New chain, both blades. Is there anything else I'll need? Hoping to do job...
