    R3 as a first Bike ?

GO AND RIDE ONE just remember it's not yours and take some spare underpants and your donor card.

    R3 as a first Bike ?

Agreed, let's not forget this rider was on the road to some extent until a few years ago, I worked for a bike dealer who offered training many moons ago and it's amazing how many people seemed convinced by their ability to handle even a 125 despite obviously having no clue how dangerous and on...

    R3 as a first Bike ?

I've ridden dozens of bikes over the years and I find the Roadster one of the easiest, I'm 6'4" though and often wonder how smaller people react as the bike is physically so very large. The power comes in huge gobs when you wind the throttle but I still max the throttle everywhere, it's well...

    Roadster Jardine compatible

Ok I think there is a slight difference in the end can diameter but I don't see the problem with running the normal rocket Jardine system other than the abs 'bulge' in the pipe. At £500 the difference I think I will opt to get a bit altered and take the girlfriend away instead!

    Roadster Jardine compatible

Hi all, I'm thinking about buying a Jardine system for my roadster but have noticed an annoying cost problem.. I can get a full system for every rocket variant excluding the roadster for about £500-600 but for the roadster it's almost double money. I gather the pipes are slightly different and...

    Hi from Cornwall UK

Thanks, interesting.. I'm now up and running- felt a bit flat and grumbly at first but then I pulled the air pressure sensor from the now disused air box and extended the wiring to fit up by the filters.. 12 min tune and it's awesome! Few minor tweaks left Inc nipping into the bear claw, at the...

    Hi from Cornwall UK

Definately a keeper! Where do you go from the Rocket? Too many bikes have 'better' replacements as the years and models roll by, a friend of mine bought a ZX10R at the same time as my Rocket, same money- he's lost over £2000 a year in depreciation since and there are improved models since to...

Tune for Roadster but stock pipes??

Problem is the cost of the exhaust.. As my girlfriend pointed out I could buy another bike to take apart for less, there is a T595 Daytona down the road for about the same! I have loaded 20352-2.hex and the bike seems to run well, I'm concerned to know if the bike is lean or not, it feels great...

    Roadster ECU not responding..

She's alive! 20352-2 map loaded, 12 minute tune and seems ok.. Quick plug in to check everything's ok then the dreaded test ride! Sounds like a flock of starlings trapped under me tank but kinda cool, will post my findings and take some pics later. Triumph convention in my garage at the mo...:D

Tune for Roadster but stock pipes??

Hi all, I have a stock Roadster with triple K&N's, O2 discon and secondary butterflies removed.. Can anyone recommend a tune to be going on with, lots of obvious ones offered but none running standard Roadster pipes/cat! I know it's not ideal but it's all I have at the moment.. Not looking for...

    Roadster ECU not responding..

Thanks, everything is plugged in, kill switch on etc- I am getting somewhere, having pulled the lead apart and wiggling everything, WD40 etc- I can get to recovery on occasion, it times out though and goes back to not connecting! Looks like the cable, can anyone recommend a good one?? My...

    Hi from Cornwall UK

Wow a real international welcome, thanks all.. Here are all the Rockets! In cornwall there are lots of bikes and people on hols from all over Europe on their bikes, I bought my Roadster in September 2010 and in the 6000 miles and 2 years since I've seen maybe 2 max! They are rare as hens teeth...

    Roadster ECU not responding..

I hope so, I checked all fuses and tried with them back in but when I did have it going initially the headlight and side light fuses were out, I loaded up a second laptop to eliminate dodgy USB sockets or drivers, checked over all connections on the bike incase I loosened something.. Lead lights...

    Roadster ECU not responding..

I thank you for your confidence, for what it's worth your reply is reassuring- I fail to believe I've damaged anything but it doesn't stop the sweating! fingers crossed..

    Hi from Cornwall UK

Hi, it seems everything about the Rockets worth knowing is across the pond from me, glad to be on here! I'm struggling with tuneecu and my ecu not responding, posted my sob story titled 'roadster ecu not responding' and just waiting eagerly for someone to tell me what I'm doing wrong! Haha...

    Hi from Cornwall UK

Hi all, I'm a long time Triumph fan/owner, spent the weekend at Triumph live 2010 and came home with a R3 Roadster! Love it usually, loathe it at the moment as I think I've broken it and I've found this brilliant site in the hopes of not getting murdered by my girlfriend when she gets home! Nice...

    Roadster ECU not responding..

Hi all, I'm having a worrying day with my bike and need help, bike was standard yesterday. Today it has trip filters, secondaries removed, O2 eliminated etc as per pig9r's brilliant 'how to' thread.. I connected tuneecu last night, read and saved existing map then began uploading new- 8% in it...
