Hi from Cornwall UK

Whilst loading a new tune Keep all the fuses in, make sure the battery is charged fully and keep the battry charger attached. This is what works for me. I use this tune 20352-2 on a bulk standard roadster and i think its great. its great. this is something Jim sent me, as i said earlier i don't take out any fuses but other than that it works.

This is the procedure I used on my Roadster when I played with the different maps using tune ecu, hope you can follow them..

First I take out the head light fuse out which also stops the bike from starting but does allow the ignition to be turned on.

Open up the Tune Ecu program on the lap top

Go into the files at the top left corner of Tune Ecu screen and select the map to be put into the bike, 20352 is the stock Roadster map.

Then connect the cord plug to the bike

Then connect the cable to lap top

Turn the ignition on, the connection light on the bottom right hand corner starts flashing red to yellow to green to indicate connection has been made.

Click on ECU at the top of the screen and click on download

Then click on yes, the down load will be done by watch the profile bar on the bottom left of the screen going from 0% to 100%

After down loading a new map the TPS has to be reset by turning the ignition off, than back on for 10 seconds then off and on.

On my Roadster I clicked on the ECU tab and click on reset adaption

Click on yes to confirm, you can hear the reset noise.

Now the motor has to be started, refit the fuse.

Start the motor, see the reconnection is made by the green light on bottom left hand corner of screen.

Let motor run until the TPS light on the bottom left of screen turns green, this doe take a few minutes.

When the TPS light turns green the job it done.

Hope this make sense.

I then do the 12 minuete recalibrate which is bacically letting the engine run for 12 minutes after the cooling fan kicks in without touching the throtle.

Thanks, interesting.. I'm now up and running- felt a bit flat and grumbly at first but then I pulled the air pressure sensor from the now disused air box and extended the wiring to fit up by the filters.. 12 min tune and it's awesome! Few minor tweaks left Inc nipping into the bear claw, at the moment it's off. Happy summer!!
