Yes. Quite an impressive machine.

It reminds me of a my own concept bike that I did 35 years ago.
Mine wasn't electric but it wasn't a usual ICE power plant. The technology I proposed for my bike did however offer the tantalizing prospect of high power, high torque from a light and compact power unit...

I would have to put some kind of shield on that filter. A chrome cup cover from a Rocket III might just fit. If not, a small flat shield would be in order.

I think maybe it might have been because people trusted the reliability of the Japanese bikes over the Italian machines of the day, plus they were more costly and dealerships were few and far between.
Probably today, a similar machine would sell in higher numbers proportionally.... if the price was competitive enough.

Actually, looking at the CBX and the SEi today, i'd go for the SEi. I think it's aged better aesthetically......but the bike in the video is on another level of tastiness....
