Squeaky Brakes on Rocket 3 R Storm – Anyone Else?

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing squeaky brakes on their Rocket 3 R (mine is a 2025 model, ~4,000 km on the clock). Under light braking at low speeds, there's a noticeable high-pitched squeal – mostly from the front.

The brakes work perfectly otherwise — strong and no vibration. But the noise is getting a bit annoying, especially in town traffic or slow riding.

Any tips, fixes, or pad recommendations?

It is light braking that will have caused the issue in the 1st place - the pads have a glazed surface. One option is to go out have brake repeatedly and hard from say 50 mph, that usually fixes it.

Or use some coarse grit sandpaper to rough the surface.

I have 2025 one, rear brakes stopped squealing about at 2K miles. Probably I hear a squeal once in a while, I am about 3.3K miles in.

The front slightly squealed in the first 100 miles but no longer.

I was planning to change my pads to EBC HH. Did that on my KTM's. I like the better bite. And anything that helps haul the big beast down in an emergency is welcome IMO. I think the R3 takes the same pad too..... I believe it will fix the squeal

Squeaking at low speed on new Brembo brakes (not glazed) is an undocumented feature… If they dont squeak they’re not Brembo

I've this issue also. I striped and deglazed the pads. A bit of copper grease on the back and I have to say Brembo have done a super job building in a free sqeek because it made no difference

I am having same issue with my storm GT.
I have little over 9000 miles on my storm and front brakes started squeaking while stopping after crossing 8000 miles.
Already visited dealership for one year service and tech said front brakes pads are still good but rear brakes pads were almost finished. They changed the rear pads and said issue should be resolved.

I didn't test it properly I believe before leaving the dealership as issue is still there. Dealership is in Houston and I live in Louisiana so don't really want to make that trip anytime soon.
I have just ordered new brake pads and hopefully that
