2020 Rocket Launch Comparison

I do like the looks of it but will still wait to see if there is any major bugs. I am worried about the low slung oil cooler in front ,and after watching the thread about the poor feller and his side stand problem. I worry about peg protection and what happens to them even on a standing still tip over. What is it a new engine case or if it didn't crack all the way thru you got one less location :) I am sure they have thought of this or I hope they have ??? Anyway still like the looks but I good enjoy a lot of mile on the one I have with all that cash. Heck I'd go to Oz but that sounds more like California burnt and well really burnt.

Hi mate, what is this side stand problem you refer to? Haven't seen anything on that for the new Rocket. Might have missed it.

Picking mine up tomorrow so maybe I avoid negative thoughts :D

its not a new rocket. But on the older ones they are attached to the engine block. Tear one off and ya got problems. So I was referring to worrying about the new rocket what happens on even a slow speed tip over or say a no speed but someone checking the bike out tip over. With no rails or guards I just wonder how much the can take. Anyway its one of my concerns like the oil cooler being down low in front. Puncture makes for a slick rear wheel. Its just thoughts I do like the style of the bike.

Good spot. I noticed on the old rockets, the classic peg rails stuck out a lot further than the roadster. I was going to take the rails off my classic and add rearsets. However I realized I would lose some protection.
So I now plan to leave the peg rails to host the reservoir but removed the pegs and levers and use the rails to mount some new pegs.

It just seems odd to me that the non TFC models are already being sold, while the folks who pre paid a deposit for a custom are still waiting?

What’s up with that!?

Well I was not a fan of the old rocket looks or test ride, was heavy felling, ended up getting a valkeri, much better. Test rode the new 20 R3, sold, this is not anything in the 700lb realm I have ever rode. It carves twisty quite constantly predictable. Like a sport bike almost(700lb). Looking for mods that ar not out yet(soon) PS the look is not trying to be a harley (it's it owne) no offence get her next week

I have to disagree with this since there are virtually no interchange parts. But just to be safe I’ll one of each to compare every other day.

During the production of the R and GT an issue was discovered with the kiskstand bolting system. It was remedied during production of the regular bikes. The TFCs were already created up and out to distribution centers so they all had to be uncrated and fixed causing a delay. I have this straight from a Triumph South East sales representative.

I am not happy about the wait and seeing others that were not deposited and in line getting new R3s but there is nothing to be done about it.:(
