The offer from MV is still open on my Classic. She has a few miles on her, but she goes fairly well.
How would it work in the USA regarding insurance etc. if riding/borrowing someone else's bike? I'm presuming there is are different laws or statutes in comparison to the UK. Is an international driving permit required or is a standard issue driving licence acceptable?

I have no idea about international drivers license. :(

Giving this a very serious consideration, but a question, is it appropriate to bring someone and his wife that doesn't own a Rocket? (insert Harley emblem...lol)
My wife's parents live by Kerrville so she is thinking about flying down then I could pick her up.
Bring anybody on two wheels, 3 wheels are permitted too.

When @HansO visited us he had his regular VALID driver's license, as long as it was current at his home country that was good enough for State Farm insurance, i just told them the dates he was going to be riding and that was all that was needed, as far as you renting one, i have no idea what they will require, hope this helps

Kerrville is close by. Don't know if she will want to bike all the way back to Wisconsin.
