    Thats a bummer phil What exactly were the symptons Phil? I had transmission failure on my 08 touring. Triumph supplied the parts i supplied the cash for labour and consumables. Very pricey. Back on the road again thankfully. Keep us posted.

    R3T Gearbox problems? Update Dealer has stripped down bike. Tells me SHIFTER MECHANISM has gone. They have sent photos and report to Triumph to see if anything can be done on GOODWILL. Will know more next week. Has anyone experience of Triumph covering a problem like this on goodwill...

  3. batteries

    Went through several batteries with my 08 R111T. Now i use the uprated stock Yuasa battery with no problems whatsover, i just connect thetrickle charger most nights. Michael

    R3T Gearbox problems? Rainman, same happened to me last Sunday. 2 and 4 gone. Bike now in dealer awaiting verdict. See my post on 25/3/2012. This seemsto be a common problem although dealers will say "first i heard of this problem" Like you i would appreciate any advice.

    R3T Gearbox problems? My R3T has gone to the dealer on the tow truck. Your troubles sound very like mine. Two weeks before they can look at the problem. Just as the weather is warming up! Keep us posted especially as to whether Triumph pick up any of the cost. Mike

    Thanks for reply. Cant say the tranny has been abused. I ride alone. Most milage would be motorway in 5 gear 60 to 70 mpr. Regards Mike

    Returning from a 350 mile run today, downshifted into 4 gear, engine roared when trying to accelerate but gear obviously not engaging. Then this happened with 2 gear. Had to cover the last 50 miles with 1 3 and 5 gear. Also its not now showing neutral. Bike is a 2008 touting model with 15000...
