    cheers for all the suggestions laddies, if you went with the clutch lever switch give yerself a wee pat on the back, i took the switch off the lever housing and pulled the small boot back to expose the two wires,red and black. got a paper clip and squeezed it into both wires to bridge them and...

    a wee bit more info its a 2010 rocket roadster, ye the clocks are sweeping no problem, the neutral warning light is on, i have tried pushing button and putting side stand up and down at same time, no joy, and ye a west coaster from paisley so no problem pushing it up and down street,.
