    That photo is a bit deceiving. The Rocket front wheel was probably one foot ahead of the BMW. When lined up evenly the Rocket is nearly a foot longer. But the K1200LT is large. Two big bikes that couldn't be more different in what they offer.

    Got itchy to test out the new bike, 37F / 3C is still a tad chilly for riding but I survived the 30 minute ride. The R3T is a smooth highway cruiser and that torque adds a fun factor.

    The Honda Valkyrie Interstate top box would be perfect for the R3 Touring as the two bikes share many design/style features.

    Thanks Gregger. It's pretty much stock, it does have the TORS pipes on it and the originals were included as well (I will probably sell the originals). The original owner said he never changed the ECU settings so I will likely change that up to take advantage of the TORS. Right now it's...

    First Triumph yes. I've had every brand of Japanese bikes, a couple of Italian brands and the German one as well but I havent had any American bikes in my garage. As far as pictures... it's just like the brochure picture from '09, blue and like new.

    Thanks Tripps. My chrome cover is like new so I will want to retain it for this riding season at least.

    Does anyone know if the chrome cover fits on the Mahle oil filter? Other threads indicate that Wix is the go to, but I can't find one available.

  12. New to the group!

    I just picked up a very clean '09 R3 Touring with 4,700 miles on it. Looking forward to trying it out when the snow is gone, hopefully soon. I've been searching some threads and have found you all to be very helpful so far.
