    Lipstick for another Pig.....

Finished up today, still need a little tweak here and there, but the 750 Smurf runs **** good. I am still waiting for the transferred title from DMV so I am going to have to put some thought into selling or keeping this one. A little more seat time should do the trick.....

    Lipstick for another Pig.....

Well it is back on the ground and at roller status again. Carbs, pipes, a little of this and that, and hopefully a trip around the block in the near future.....

    Lipstick for another Pig.....

The bearing puller worked great, took quite a few slides with the hammer but it broke loose with no damage. I am still waiting on parts to finish up the rear wheel so on to the dirty part of the job. The swing arm, sprocket, under the rear fender, rear of the motor, and center stand area...

    Lipstick for another Pig.....

Front end is on the ground, on to the rear where a big bag of fecal matter hit the fan with rear wheel bearings. I have always despised wheel bearing installation regardless of the vehicle. A vintage Honda is a real treat because it has peened retainer rings and a axle sleeve that rides...

    I killed my flip phone..

I washed my beloved flip phone in my jeans and killed it. I now have a new smart phone. This is a picture of my cat Marvin, I took it with my new smart phone. Marvin currently knows more about how to work this tool of Satan than I do. Old people really shouldn't be given technology and left...

    Lipstick for another Pig.....

Front end is done, fork seals, gators, clocks cosmetically refreshed, new tire, and still waiting on some hoses for the brakes. I swear I think the USPS must have went on strike and not told anyone. Cleared over the old paint, saved the patina, or just a lazy man's way of letting all of the...

    Lipstick for another Pig.....

The cases and valve cover involved starting with a Scot Brite pad and working my way down through a couple of grades of steel wool with liquid aluminum polish. Final buff out with Mothers and micro fiber towels. About two pots of coffee time wise. The engine case and cylinders is Dupli Color...

    Lipstick for another Pig.....

As most know from my posts here, I am not happy unless there is something in the garage that needs to be brought back from the dead. Here is the latest addition, a 1974 Honda CB750. I drove 907 miles all in one day from Virginia to Tennessee to pick it up from the original owner who purchased...

    Even After All These Years

On Thanksgiving Eve I had a number of small errands to run and the weather was **** nice for November here in downtown Virginia. I started to take the truck but headed for garage and uncovered the Rocket 3. I will have to admit, it had been sitting for at least three weeks to a month, but...

    Hermy's Triumph store

I have used them quite a bit when I had Hinckley Triples. Great service and more than helpful if you call with an inquiry. Shipping is always quick also. Hermy's and Baxter Cycle are my top choices for newer Triumph parts....

My Birthday Present - "name this bike" ;-)

Well it has been about three months since this "still unnamed bike" came home and since I have been without a flip project I have spent the time with a little refreshing to make it my own. There is a new appropriate 500/16 "old style chopper tire", new pipes and hardware, new seat, carbs gone...

Do Not Throw Away Your Scrap Wood

You may end up like me, with an 8 foot motorcycle going on a cheap 6 foot "Horrible Freight" lift. Not pretty but these old brittle bones don't have to lay on a cold arse garage floor anymore.......

    Got me a Griso

I can say this since I am among the "Goose" owners, they are a special breed. A little on the weird side, but truly loyal to the brand. Really about neck and neck with Rocket riders...........

    Got me a Griso

Congratulations IRR3, great looking bike. I really enjoy my California Touring 1400, smooth, comfortable, and you don't see one on every corner. When they first came out I decided I wanted one, style reminds me of the Art Deco period. After all who doesn't like a "Big Set of Jugs."

My Birthday Present - "name this bike" ;-)

Boog Sure you can. It is still pretty **** dirty by my standards and I have one outside carb weeping from the float seat, but I will shoot you a PM in the next week or two. Kama is *****, here I am 71 and bought a bike of my younger dreams and my lower back went out the night prior to my...
