Recently i got a Galaxy7 and i want to mount it on the bars to use as a gps, the problem that i encountered is that the X grip style will push the side buttons and that's not good, Ram mounts offer one other style called the finger grip but don't want to order one until i see that it will work.Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks!
Since my old geezer Motorcycle has Bluetooth I just put the phone anywhere I want, pocket, trunk, saddlebags, and listen to the directions through the speakers!

I tried the Ram mounts with my Galaxy S7, and had the same problem.
A friend gave me a Shark Tank mounted holder
Mine has been tested to over 165 mph (closed course with professional rider. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME ) I am happy with it.
I use a Ram mount, and while I can have the button pushing thing, careful positioning helps immensely. Just have to try your luck with different things I guess.
If you don't want to try the X-Grip style mounts I highly suggest having a look at Slipgrip mounts. They make specifically designed holsters for all types of phones that are literally like a glove for fit. Can't recommend them enough.
I use the "Tech-gripper" by Techmount. It grips the middle sides of phone. Have used it with 3 different phones no problems, it's now on my daughter in-laws HD Street. There is a rubber grip inside the jaws. It has a standard ball mount so will fit on any brand base .
