When fast is never enough,,,,,,,

Are you sure that's not Wile Coyote behind the helmet........ There's another one in the making due to set another record in 2013-14 the Bloodhound SSC.

Oh yea. But that car is a piston engine. Not a jet and rocket powered car. I would NOT want to be in the cockpit of either!!!!!! But I guess if you crashed, it would be instantaneous death!!!! Kind of like blowing up in mid air on a commercial jet liner!


I was at Bonneville in August of 1970 when the guy crashed in the streamliner going over 400MPH. I flew over the crash site later in the day. It was ugly to look at from the air.

Man I watched it again and it still gives me goose bumps! Along with a stiff dick! But no way. Not any more. Might have been stupid enough 40 years ago. No more!

Speaking of Bonneville, what ever happened to that guy who was going to run a Rocket engine in a M/C streamliner? The guy who had a picture of himself smoking a cigar on his Avatar? Speed week was August 18th. Never heard how he did. I wonder if he ran the thing? And if so, how fast did he go?
