What Tuneboy Tune for UK fuel

My rocket is currently running Cat bypass, original pipes, and K&N under seat filter.

I'm using the tune that wayne suggested and all seems ok, but since lately there have been numerous posts regarding Australian tunes and different fuel qualities, I have a question:

I'm about to have the 1st annual service when it will be fitted with TOR's, no doubt the dealer will retune to triumph tune, but when I get it home I want to download the appropriate Tuneboy Tune with the secondaries open, restrictions removed and speedo error corrected.

I've read ALL the tuneboy threads, but I'm a bit confused,

Does anyone have a copy of a suitable tune for that setup with UK fuel.
Or
Would I be better to edit the triumph tune just to open the secondaries etc.

But isnt your tune based on Australian fuel? there seems to be a thought train on the other thread that if we use that here in UK it will "Fry" the motor.

mmmm, wholly ****ty ouch, we obviously need alot of dyno tunes out there quickly, I haven't been able to get tunes from international lands in my catalogue program so far, looks like I'll be adding a "Country" function to it though.

Yes, that would be very nice indeed! I must admit that I have also become a bit scared for installing downloaded tunes thanks to hombre's post... Don't want a fried engine, doesn't taste good...

I'd guess that Hombre's massive air/fuel ratio is more due to the Jardines and Unifilters rather than the fuel quality. The Jardine exhaust is one of the most open pipes (breathable) out and the triple Unifilters definitely provide much more air intake than a K&N stock replacement filter (underseat).

I've been using the stevedyno tune for a couple months on my bike with TORs, catbypass and K&N undertank filter (more breathable than underseat filter, but less than triple Unifilters) and have been running great. I still haven't gotten around to fine tuning the decel popping yet but it doesn't happen enough for me to be in a hurry. Once I get the Unifilters in, I'll have to look at modifying the tune again - there a new tune for that yet?

KC, I'd go with the stevedyno (staintune) Tuneboy tune once you have the TORs in and try it out. I'm sure it will work just as well as for me. If you're the cautious type, then just modify the Triumph 20054 or 55 tune to open the secondaries and remove the other limiters.

One thing that has not been discussed much is Tune Edit's ability to use PCIII maps. I haven't done this, but if you can find a PCIII map using local conditions (fuel) that matches your setup then that should be an even better matched tune.

Wayne of Tuneboy has posted a new tune for a TORs, catbypass Rocket called 20050_2 at http://www.tuneboy.com.au/TuneDownloads/Tunes.html

That tune should be an even better match than the staintune tune 20050_1. I'll be trying it out to see if there are any noticeable differences.

Hi Keith

If you have a look at the numbers in the F1,2,3 tables you will see that they are higher than the values in the Triumph map for your setup.
Triumph don't do anything different from country to country (Except the French and German restricted maps).
I think you should give the 20050_2 map a go.

As I dont have the pods only a K&N under seat filter, it will presumably be richer, so I think I'll give it a try.

I am running the 20054_2 map and it is spanking

Just downloaded the 20050-3 map which is for the tors , cat bypass and the pod air filters .
Looking forward to giving it a run very soon .

I have been running the new 20050_2 tune for two days and over 800 miles and it seems to work very much like the staintune tune but results in less decel popping, though it will still pop occasionally under heavy load.

When I get back from the Branson Raid, I'm gonna install those Unifilters and try out that 3 tune. Should be bloody awesome.
