Are they bollocks - Made in China sold in the USA as Mutazu. Can get them here in original "May hin chinah" box.
Leather covered if you like
Colin
They're more show than go mate. Don't hold much either as they're an odd shape. It's what I have on mine USUALLY (Monti likes the look).
And they are most certainly NOT waterproof. Made of ABS the bits are sealed with a hot glue gun but the wiring holes will let water in . Quite easy to get here (just about anything cheap and Chinese is) - and some shops sell them with a reinforcement alli plate on the rear. Mine came with Amber lenses as well in case you want them to be you indicators. If you intend to pack'em - forget it. The locks are pretty crud too - easy to force open - the metal bends.
I have some SHAD cases for when volume is required. Had to make the frames though. There are some QD rails sold here for R3's and I've a mate with the same cases on his R3 with the QD (and alli plate). He got them from the place that leather covers them - only without the leather.

Maybe because they say "made by Mutazu" on their web. But the Chinese will sell to anybody.
Col' mate - The best fitting hard cases you're going to find with ready made frames are Hepco&Becker like Scott has. Or of course Corbin Beetle bags - but they're just silly expensive.
The SHADs are huge - and they're proper side cases - they have an internal horizontal "floor". A Spanish company that makes the OEM cases for BMW. iirc the Triumph Sissy bar pads too. Quite possibly Triumph hard cases on other bikes. Actually I'd forgotten how good they look - the Black metallic covers match the R3 paint.
The slim cases have the advantage of extra rear lights - albeit they're not e-marked so illegal here. Yes of course I use them!. But only the tail light - I have the top case leds light under braking (no not €-marked either).
