just saw this on YT from t-rex; looks nice but seems like a lot of hassle having to screw the bolt on and off each time, vs just using a scissor jack

I got that Triumph thingy, came with the bike. It does the same, cept yer lying in the dirt trying to match it up. Your idea is better. No bending for this old man.
 
I will stick with my plate lift. In, under, jack, fix, drop done. This is too complicated and the balance point seems to flirt with the bare minimum and applys way to much stress on the axle.
