werewolf exhaust tatoo - yea ha gregstr

I did 500 miles on mine yesterday...

I will say that my rain pants melted on the pipes.....but they did that on my stock pipes too... My Jardines were hot enough to melt a set of rain paints, even with Header wrap under the chrome heat shield....

I will say that an additional shield would be nice...BUT probably almost impossible to do and have it not get just as hot...

I notice in the photos that he has the end cap over the discs? is that how its supposed to be? I thought it was just discs with the spark arrestor covering the back side

end cap with disc

Reg,
what i found with the open end cap and scavenge disc,is that the predators pull harder at 4000 + to 6500. just the open end cap gives best all around performance. closed end cap with 12 scavenge disc seems to be good for touring/mileage. why all this is so,i'm not sure.i do know is,if you put your hand on the back, off the open cap,you feel warm air popping.then, put your hand along side the scavenge discs, the air is much cooler...... i don't know why,it just is. that's how i found out it's 'working'. strange thermo-dynamics to me.i would have thought the air being 'scavenged' would be warmer from the side. it's actually rather cool. try it and see what you think, then post. i'm curious to know...
