Video showing how to change the differential oil

FYI: Many of us on the forum reuse all of the crush washer on our motorcycles many times over with no leaks.
Yeah, mine are original on the FD with 10k miles. No leaks. I change it often too, because its so easy. But I replaced the oil drain washers last time.

So I tried one of these washers on yesterday and it fits fine. The onlybdifference between these and the triumph oem ones is the inside diameter is a little smaller but still easily fits over the plug. If anything these should work better

I don't remember the exact bearing ~20.000km, but the needle bearing on the left side isn't in an oil bath; it's lubricated separately. At 20,000 km, the lubricant was dry, so be careful with molybdenum-based grease. Apparently, it's not recommended for high-speed needle bearings.

This is what I use on the left side needle bearings.

Moly based grease can cause bearings to skid when used in high speed bearings. Moly is good for shock loads, sliding loads and bearings which don't spin at high speed. You also want to stay away from fibrous greases in high speed wheel bearings as they can act like a centrifuge and separate the fibers out and cause the rollers to skid because the fibers build up. Any normal grease rated for wheel bearings, which most are, would be fine.
