Spend some extra dough and get an Avon Cobra. Worth every penny for improved ride and handling. Order safely on line from Rocky Mountain ATV only $212.88 shipped.

Got over 10 K MILES on my last one. I don't do burn outs or wheelies, but I did do a track day and 2 trips to the dyno on it. I'll keep buying it until something better is made. I doubt that will happen. It is a really good tire.

Michelin commander ll's little bit different size (smaller) than oem, but should last a lot longer and way cheaper then others. Front and rear 300$ from rockeymountainatv.com

Well, look on the positive side, now you can upgrade to whitewall Avon Cobra. Classy the Touring right up, lasts much longer and the bike handles better as well. Win win win. They're radials, not bias, with all the handling benefits that gives you.

That seems pretty good mileage to me. I got 4800kms - not miles - on a Metz, 6500km from 2 Avon Cobras ie each one and consistently around 10,000km from Bridgestone Exedra Max. Admittedly that wasn't on a Touring. Not really sure you should expect much more from such a big, heavy bike with so much torque and moderately spirited riding.

Of course you could economise and ride like a nancy, getting longer life from your tyres and saving a few cents on fuel consumption too. I hear 250s are much easier on tyres (and fuel).....

Ok im a sucker. I was all ready to pull the trigger on avon when my dealer said he had two 880 and would install them for $400. So for $400 i got two new tires installed...i thought it was a great deal...so ill tear them up and get new ones after the rally in July...cant wait
