'Turning In'

My 2014 Rocket seems to have developed a tendency to want to 'turn in'. In other words it wants to tighten into the turn rather than stay neutral. I have to apply positive pressure to stop it turning more.
My first thought was tyre pressures but they are the same as ever.
Any thoughts out there?
Any recommendations for service facilities around midlands/southern England who know Rockets well?
I'd ideally like to find someone who knows how Rockets feel balance wise so that they could comment on how my bike feels in comparison to other Rockets.

Hi Topcat and a warm welcome to the forum from a fellow Brit. You've come to the right place for all the advice and help needed from how to rebuild the engine to marriage guidance counselling. Unfortunately I'm not the right person to help you on this matter. I daresay that a little more info will be required such as Tyre make, sizes, pressures, Touring or Roadster etc... There are several guys on this here forum who know the bikes inside out but they mostly reside in the USA so are fast asleep! Good luck.

Hello Topcat and welcome from Virginia. I have a 2014 R3T with 66K miles on it now. Whenever I have noticed a symptom similar to what you describe, I too check the tires. If inflation is not the issue, what about tread? Is there any cupping starting to show? Under inflation exasperates this, thus I run 2 psi over the max and get longer life from my tires.

Is one side more worn than the other? Many roads have a slight camber which causes the tires to wear on one side more than the other over a few thousand miles. In this case, turn in is noticeable on one side and not the other.

Have you noticed any leakage around your down tubes? If so that may be part of the issue.

Has the bike been down? Bent parts or frame members may be the culprit.

What bike - exactly and which tyres?. That tippy-ness is sort of what happens when Metzler fronts wear ime.

I prescribe more pushups...helps with wrestling the front end. Check tire pressure. Big front tire really feels heavy when low.

What speeds is it doing it?

Steering bearing loose or worn is the #2 culprit for all rocket 3 cornering irregularities, behind front tire inflation/wear.

Did you install engine guards lately ? Amd does it have a metzler on the front? If so how many miles on the front tire?

How'd you do that. I spent $750 trying to make mine turn and stay turning. I do incline push ups. Two or three sets of 10 every other day. Can't do even one on the floor and its hard for me to get down to and off the floor.

@1K9 I have a feeling you'd love the turn-in and steady state Mufasa has. With 1 cheek off seat, upper body offset inside the tank, I don't need pressure, just tip it in and steer with throttle.
