Troubles and havent even had first ride

You mean there is a relay kit installed?
Check the fuse for the power wire that feeds the relays; also check the wire for the negatives;
both would typically come directly off the battery connections if an EB (or similar) relay kit is installed;
since you replaced the battery ensure that both the positive AND negative for the headlight bypass are both connected at the battery
(either of the wires may have dropped down and you didn't notice it when reconnecting)

Those relays sit just behind the steering head;
Note that you have both a negative and positive lead that connect to the battery, the positive is fused.
If either is not connected lights will not work.

Also some kits have a 'cut' switch on the low beam only; you can elminate that as source of issue by simply switching to hi beam; if hi beam works, look for the low beam switch

my advice is NOT to keep changing things you can end up with more problems.
while i was watching one of your videos the lights were going on and off like there was a short.
assuming there is a short it would most likely be the main wire to main lights and park lights.
if it was mine i would remove bulbs and check wires with volt meter may be try pluging back in one at a time.
if you had a short the relay may be bad (starter relay or light relay).
some of the light kit had a system that you had to work the dimmer switch to get the lights on.
you can take a long wire put a fuse in to it and run it from the light ground to bat ground to see if the lights work and also do the same thing to pos to bat pos for test purposes.
if you unplug the lights do voltage test.

fresh start today, we changed tps (we brought a new one anyway as it had the old one on) bike did as it did before. we booked a pressure test gauge for this arvo so we thought we would go back through everything that was suggested and tick of boxes. whilest pulling the hoses off the fuel pump we noticed that the little hidden hose under the fuel pressure regulator looked a bit warped. it was swelled with about only half the size of the other hoses and basically it was soft like putty. We cut all new hoses for each part, pulled the connectors apart give them some wd40. the two hoses overflow on the tank looked like they may be on the wrong end (we got it like that) so swapped them around. ran ecutune and then "the bike started and idled perfectly. took the bike for 2 short rides stalled a couple of time when in ideling but fired up straightaway.

I noticed somepeople talking about a 12 min tune, havent done that before so might look into that. no back firing, pipes running clear. I couldnt believe it, now i just have to learn how to ride it. only had sport bikes in the past and it seems very different to them (First time cruiser . i just want to thank everyone for your help and input, you gave me the confidence to get in and have a go. even though i might have gone around it the long way, i now know the fuel system of my bike for future references which is priceless and the original intention when getting the bike. absolute legends the lot of you.
