Has anyone had to replace the light bulb in any of the instrument lights. I got mine back from the 10K service and the bulb in the fuel gauge was out. Assuming that it was a standard bulb, I checked at the local auto parts store. It is not and the dealer is 70 miles away.

Does anyone have any ideas on another sources for these?

Check a different auto parts store. I've replaced that light bulb and found it at a local Checkers Auto Parts. It was labeled Euro-style mini something or another.

There must be something about that 10K service - the same thing happened to me after the 10K. Dealer said it a standard bulb so I agree with RocketMan - you just need to check around some more.

Thanks guys. I just wasn't sure if it was a standard or some one off type that Triumph uses. I've got it in my pocket and will try a couple of places this evening.

I dug the post HOSS was refering to...

I used a #73 automotive bulb (Instrument Indicator etc...) (73/BP2)

Same as the original as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know about you guys but my fuel gauge is lit white and not amber like the speedo/clock. Originally I was trying to find an amber one but I never did. The only place I didn't go to was a dealership lol

Thanks Rook, I did a quick check but couldn't find it. You know, I can't recall if it was a different color since it has been over six weeks since I rode the Rocket at night. I think my fuel gauge light was white too though.

Strange... This bulb should easily be found at any good auto parts store. It's a bulb for car dash warning lights/ high beam etc

Rook, I meant your post. I have been carrying this little thing around in my jacket pocket for several days, forgetting to stop by an auto parts store. Seems Christmas shopping and a hundred other details are exacerbating my normal level of absent mindedness.

Tomorrow....

autolumination.com has some neat led style replacements and some regular stuff as well. Haven't picked one out yet.
