Not sure what to do I am thinking of fitting a grinnell trike kit to my Rocket The reason is last august i had a fight with half a ton steel at work (i lost) and did some bad damage to my left shoulder. The problem is can't move the rocket about like i could I have thought about selling and getting something smaller. But not sure if i would be happy with something smaller after haveing the rocket 8 years So im'e thinking a trike could be the answer If i go with the trike i will have some good stuff to sell i will ask here before i put it on fleebay What do you think in need help to decide

Tacker,
I'd trike the Rocket myself.
You won't be satisfied with a "lesser" bike.
Before I bought my wife her Rocket,
I went and rode the T-bird, but it just didn't do it for me,
tried a victory Vision too, might as well be on a Gold Wing or HD.
All 3 were weak as water, so when I found her a Rocket, we jumped on it.
You know yourself, since you've had your Rocket for 8 years,
you like it, so trike it out.
Can't wait to see it when you're done.

Tacker I to have a damaged shoulder not sure if its worse then you as I did not argue with a half ton of steel. Mine was responding to a body alarm at work and got crushed by some thugs (inmates)
got some updated parts starting with the first surgery to pull the bone fragments out of my lung had to throw some of them away as the puzzle pieces did not fit right anymore

the second third and fourth surgery was to take care of the greater then 50% tear in the rotator cuff ( mostly depbreaded the dead muscle and threw it in the trash and fix two torn tendons (which names are worse then my 11 lettered Polish last name:) then they went into screw steel post 5 of them in the shoulder socket so they could reattatch the torn labrum Basically so they could tie it back in the socket as it will never grow back to the bone. Then the went back in to tighten the joint up and grind out bone spurs they had been watching grow along with removing two bursitus sacks that formed.

Anyway two years later and I dfon't live on morphine anymore nor any narcotics for once. **** I should have bought stock in Vicodin and Lortabs (the other blue pill) :D

Still on the beast thow. I found the pull back bars a little taller rear shocks and a smaller front tire helps me move the beast around without straining. Infact it quickens the steering quite a bit. I use either 350 mm Hagons and a taller rear with the stock front tire or YSS shocks 10 mm longer the 245/55 bridgestone and a 140 front to make this hapen. Also the drivers backrest keeps me in the saddle and does not try to tear my shoulder out of socket. Just some suggestions if you do not want to trike her out. I garantee you if it did not work for me I would trike her out in a minute If you decide to go that route let me know I will take some of the parts like the rear end and driveshaft hell eve the rear wheel off you. Some how I think my warp drive upgrade and the way I like to ride is hard on the drive train. Not sure of my power range as the only dyno operator around here knows I broke the last dyno I had her on. I was shooting for 420 rwhp and who knows I am poised to turn up the boost once I get used to her. (and quit breaking ****)

Hope your workmans comp is taking care of you and you get a fat check after its all done. I know its better to have the shoulder then the money believe I am there. But hell I am thinking a lotus would be nice also kind of like your tax dollars at work again.
Take care
Warp

Oh on a positive note I feel lucky as the thugs could have killed me

Somtimes my job can get quite exiting !!!!!!!!!!!

It's a tough call. I'd rather ride a bike than a trike but I'd rather be on a Rocket than anything else. If it was me I'd be seriously considering something like and America before I went for a trike, but it's a very tough call.
Good luck whichever way you decide to go.
