like a lot of other fella' s haveing problems with rough idling and after a while of riding the revs wont drop below 2000 revs and can only be stopped by turning the bike off then back on but the problem reappears after a while again, rang my local dealer who said that he was unaware that triumph were replacing the tps free of charge, quoted the many posts on this site saying that in America its replaced free of charge but in Australia might not be the case

yes and no on the free replacement. A new tps is just over $100 US and takes just a few minutes to install. A lot easier to adjust if you have Tuneboy or TuneECU.

Since you wondered about "whether it was the case in Australia," I would take a wild guess that it's Maitland in Oz!!!!

Think they're about $130 in this neck of da woods......

They've never been free in the UK either - only the 'mericans get special treatment from Triumph, it seems.

for all those that asked i do come from maitland australia , just got a reply from local triumph dealer, triumph australia are not interested in replacing the tps but said i could also be the stepper motor and both may need replacing, did price a tps in aussie they wanted $230 for one, a lot more expensive than in the US, so i know where i will be buying one from and its not aussie .

He Barney I had to buy my first TPS, which failed again in under 12 months. ( was still the old style one) They then replaced that as a parts warranty with the new ( blue internals)
