Time to ask for some expert opinions on what could be causing an issue. Last night on a ride I was coming back on the interstate when a smart one in a car decides he wants to show off being who I am I decided to have a little fun that quickly turned in to a fight for my life with the bike as I hot 110mph the back end of the bike started to wobble bad I am talking I was all over the road trying to keep the bike inline I hit the breaks slowly and grabbed the clutch and it got worse allot worse before I was finally able to get her well upright after wetting myself I slowed down and back to good old normal riding plus the new wet spot. I have had both tires replaced before this at 2 different shops, now I was told by a few other people it could be a balance issue or it could be the fact the rear wheel may be out of line I would like to know if I am on the spot with either one of these or not it only does this at 90mph plus and I believe it only started after the rear tire was replaced

How many miles are on that particular tire. How long ago was it changed out. I would, at the very least, be taking it back to the dealer who changed out the tire and ask them to look at it, re-balance it or at least look for defects in the tire.

Also have you checked the air pressure in the tire? A small item to be sure but it may well come into play at high speeds if it was too low. And it may save some embarrassment if that is the problem before the dealer finds it for you.

the rear has about 1000 miles on it now, psi is by the specs. I am not going to be able to get back to the shop that changed the rear.

Sorry to hear that...your options may be pretty limited then. Was this one of the new tires that were replaced under the R3T rear tire recall? If so and you have your documentation it may be possible that another dealer may be able to do something with it, but may involve him waiting for a replacement tire to come in.

Good Luck,

I had to replace it before the recall tires came in but I still have a rear waiting on me at the shop so I am not worried about cost I am sure he will take care of the issue I doubt it's the tire it self

That's good to know, hope everything works out to your satisfaction.

can't see your speed making it wobble, so is the problem truely solved?
I know mine don't wobble at anything up to wide open.
speedo vibrates at any speed, but that ain't life threatening.
Did you tell them , "if you wanted to go slow, you would have bought a potatoe bike, now, I want to go fast, so fix it"..

I had the shop look at the tire good and make sure there was no issue I doubt I will go over 100 for a while. They simply said the r3t was not built to go that fast with the bags and windshield but all in all it will not last that long
