Throttle off position to 0%

You talking about in Tuneboy?
Or I guess I should ask
What are you doing, as I've not needed that done
and haven't heard of this problem before.

I had a high idle issue and had read a post from IDK (I have a problem. post #3) about resetting the throttle off position to 0%, but was able to cure it with some good lubrication to the throttle linkage. Also went back & adjusted the cable to engineering specs. Now she runs like she should. I am still interested in this procedure. If anybody has knowledge of it, please share. It might be useful later on. I use tuneecu.

After doing a little research & for those that are interested, here is the link to reset the throttle off position to 0% step-by-step with tuneecu. .

Yes, its understood that the article is done with a Sprint & where the TPS is with our Rockets, some of our fellow captains may not be aware. This paragraph " When all the correct numbers are achieved double click “Adjust ISCV” again. This will automatically start the “Reset Adaption” sequence – the same process required after a new tune is loaded to the ECU. This does not apply new adaption values; it simply resets them to their start point. To “learn” new adaption values the engine must be run to establish settings for throttle position and fuel trims to achieve correct idle speed control."is very similar to the middle para. of the tuneboy article, which leads me to believe it resets it to 0. I will confirm with Tom Hamburg or better yet Alain Fontaine.

Havent got confirmation, but wouldnt the RESET TPS from the drop down menu under ECU accomplish the same thing as the throttle position to 0% icon in tuneboy?

Ok, for those that want to know. I finally got confirmation from Alaine. The RESET TPS icon under the drop down menu of ECU performs the same function as the RESET ADAPTION icon on the left side of the test page, which is the same function as tuneboy for the throttle off position 0%. This will sync. the ECU with the TPS to a base no. for the throttle closed position. The two buttons are just used in different procedures. **** if I would have pulled my head out of my a__ and went to the Tuneecu page under TASKS & DIAGNOSTICS it was right there.
