I decided to go the cheap route for my replacement horn. I went to an Auto Zone store bought a regular horn, took off the horn grill and swapped it out. Didn't take long and at least this horn is loud....a lot louder than the stock horn. I decided not to put anything over it and just ride with the naked horn...looks kind of like a nose under those two eyeball looking headlights.

That horn will fit behind the stock chrome. If that is a fiamm, which it looks to be, just remove the stock horn mounting bracket, push it up into place and ziptie.

Ya might as well make it chrome. It's not that it can't be seen as well as the flat black against the shiny tree. Some folks put frigging freight train horns on the engine guards.

I may join you with this upgrade. In chrome of course. Now if some engineer would make a product that adapted the Triumph badge ahead of a more gifted trumpet instead of the meep meep that is the OEM POS; I wouldn't speak so ill of that piece of crap original horn. When loud pipes fail a **** loud horn wakes up the dead. After all, we're not putt putting around Hong Kong or other densely populated areas. We're trying to stay alive on the open roads. HELL! I advocate forward launched dumb ass seeking missiles (FLDASM) loaded with a Budweiser and egg fart, or louder, as standard motorcycle equipment. If an engineer came up with a mechanism to make all cellphones in the area go dead, just until I was down the road 1/4 mile, I'd buy that product tomorrow. I don't know why your own, or my own, provider doesn't have that protection. We should have a halo of protection for going GREEN early ;(

Get a Stebel Natilus in chrome. It's not any bigger, I imagine, than what you have there. And I believe the bellows can be separated from the horn, and mounted remotely. there's a post somewhere around here on an example of such.

Thanks Dave, but for now this is what I am going to use. If you are still alive when I finish my tour over there (or maybe the next R&R) we'll see. I appreciate the offer.
