Thanks for organizing my tyre's before you went away rang Tue arvo' as you suggested and the rear had not arrived yet but as I told them that was no hassle as I wasn't in a rush, So I organised myself to go on a Wednesday ride with the Ulysses guys to a old mine which is now a tip and has power generator plant running on the Methane from the waste, gave Ruzzle ring to see if he want to go for a ride and we had a great day including Lunch at the "Loaded Dog" pub in Tarago, while there I received a call from Jarrod (a "Joe's" staff member) to say Tyre had just rocked up.
So Thursday morning I went up to Joe's and while they had the rear wheel out I Greased the Splines as prearranged with Corey and even after 25,000 km's there was still some there from the last time I greased it, All went well the guys wrestled the Car tyre off the rim, put the Dunlop Elite was next and I must say I was impressed with tread depth.
so of I went had a Coffee with Mal (the kiwi) and went home tyres felt good and was enjoying myself scrubbing them in when just about to enter my playground (the Clyde Mtn) when I nticed something missing in my mirror ...
..... my topbox had disappeared..... OH Crap!!!! the mounting plate had failed so a quick U turn and all the way back to Canberra with no luck finding it so I then rode slowly
home still looking and hoping to find it, anyway 1 hours sleep and off to work got home and decided I needed to have another look (this time on Ann"s 250 as it is easy to ride along the gravel verge) reason being was although I the box would be trashed I was hopping to recover $300 + of tools that were in it, no such luck. Anyway I had taken the mounting plate ith me and showed Corey whilst asking what warranty cover was there for this, Corey was Horrified and without even pausing offered me another replacement box but I said I was over TopBoxes and would rather just go for a decent bag to put over the Sissy Bar so he offered me the same RJ's bag that Richard uses, hows that for customer service So I just wanted to Say a Big Thank You to both Richard and his boss Corey who I remember when he was just a cheeky young whipper snipper working for his dad Joe in thier original Bike Wreckers Shop (a big tin shed actually)
Oh and the Tyres feel real good
especially the front Dunlop Elite 3, next few months should be interesting to see how they wear and grip once they have few Km's on them
