While doing a casual ride home from the Diner, yesterday afternoon, after a real nice steak dinner, I was putting along a LONG country road, and I mean out in the sticks. Speed limit 45 mph. I usually cruise around 50/55, and will do the occasional burst up to 80 or 90 once in awhile, just to break up the boredom. Well, I picked up a county mounty somewhere along the way. He stayed with me for over 10 miles, 45, all the way. I have never been so tempted to kick the Rocket down to 2nd or 3rd, and dissapear, just for chits and giggles. But I knew as long as this ass hat was behind me, that he already had my tag run, and even if I got away, someone would probably be waiting in my driveway when I got home. BUT, I sure would have love to have done it, just to imagine the look on the cops face, as he said "holly cwap". I venture to guess I could have been out of sight, before he got to flip on his lights and pick up the radio. Maybe another day. Guess I should start collecting for bail money huh?
 
Smart decision Cooter. I have been sorounded by five criusers before. Four had been in persuit but I was running fueling test and did not notice them. (went by the first above 130). by the time they gave up they radioed ahead and set a speed trap. good thing I was done testing and the radar only caught me doing 70 in a 55. I got the riot act read to me by the older cop but after noticing my credentails he mellowed out a bit. That plus a couple of the youngsters were more interested in the Falcon and what I was doing then the law abiding stuff. Thank god they appreciate good machinery. still was a wasted of 75 bucks and made me late to fontana **** to meet the other captains.
 
Yes I know Guys, thanks. But it was so irritating, he was just waiting for me to go. There was me, him, and a couple cars behind him, afraid to pass. Only had maybe 2 cars go by the other direction, boonies 45 mph mile after mile, after mile. I need me one of those flop over license plates like from James Bond, some oil sprayers and of course the little box that flips open to release all those spiked tire deflators, ha! Yes, I'm a nut. But in reality, I probably blew past this guy one day, and never saw him. There aren't any other Rockets in my area, and they aren't that hard to recognize. Whenever I do get a ticket, I always think about all the ones I got away with, and it doesn't hurt so much. My last ticket for speeding, was on the same road, on the hardley. 68 in a 45. Did the on-line traffic school thing to avoid points, and with the fine, it cost me $178.00 !!!!!! I know, if you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough, and have a fat wallet!
 
No kidding about that one. Two state troopers parked on the right hand side of the road, rear bumper, to rear bumper. Each one shooting laser radar guns each direction. This was on a two lane country road, with a 45 mph limit.
 
Be easier to cop if it wasn't such blatant revenue raising .. had it out with a couple of coppers that tried the 'road safety' bull**** with me .. lucky I wasn't arrested for 'verbal assault ' after i'd said my piece ... I just don't like cops simple as that !!
