Tail Light Electrical Gremlin... Help Wanted

To All,
I'm having a wierd issue with the running light portion of the stock brake light.
The running light portion doesn't work, but it illuminates properly when the brakes are applied.

I've checked the fuses, none blown.
I've changed out the bulb for a new one, just purchased.

I've checked the harness connection under the right side cover and checked the wiring harness back to the tail light and it doesn't appear to be an abraided wire.

Any suggestions where else, or how to, check?
I'd appreciate any assistance.
 
Sounds Ike a similar problem I just had and it was a fuse looked good but when checked with a tester showed bad recheck with a tester and hopefully it is a fuse
 
Yep that was my issue too,
it looked good but once I replaced it,
the running light worked again,
imagine that.
Try it, it calls for a 7.5 but a 10 will work if that's all ya got.
 
I had a similar problem, and found that the rear tire had rubbed out the wires under the fender. Fixed it all up and put a protective wrap around the wires and everything has been fine since.
