My tach is not working properly.. ever since the 10k service its been off approx 800 RPM on the low side.

I took it back and they checked the plugs under the tank and couldnt find anything wrong.. I also checked the connections and reseated them all under the seat.. even though all looked ok.

When i start it up it does not go all the way to the end and reset...like the speedo does, it only goes to about 4-5k then back to zero..

Bike is out of warrantee so not taking it back to the dealer now.. (besides the dealer has since closed and is no longer here)
Any ideas..
Or does someone have a spare tach to sell or try.. hate to order a new one and have the same issue..

Check all your fuses. There is one in there for the heated grips option that also has something to do with synchronizing the tach. Mine had one of those aftermarket fuses in that spot that have the little led in them to let you know when they are burned out, and that was making my tach do all sorts of weird stuff. Since I put a normal fuse in that spot no more tach problems. Hope your fix is as simple as mine was. Fred
