STOCK winshield to Clearview

I did but I did not upsize quite enough so the difference is not huge. Nevertheless bigger is better for calming the blast of wind that the tiny windshield which comes stock provides. However, the bigger you go the more like a barn door your bike is, so a really big windshield may be felt in slightly diminished performance and fuel economy. Probably not enough to make choosing bigger a non starter, but it's worth considering. Do look at some of the Honda Goldwings, and you see how tall they can get. For long hours of riding, it's probably worth a bit off the mpg. CLearview shields are high quality, but expensive, and slow to arrive. It is said the 7Jurock is equal or better quality and they are cheaper and ship faster. I may get on of those and request a top edge recurve, which does a lot in smoothing the overhead flow of air.

The stock one make good garage art. I went from stock mounted all the way up to a 7Jurock dual headlamp, Classic, 16 inch, clear, standard shape, mounted all the way down. Measure from the center bolt to the top of the shield. 188$ delivered. Made a very big difference. If you are used to riding behind the shield, they make it higher. When it gets damaged I'll buy another one. No matter how careful you are they will scratch.
I am 5/11 and can see over the shield if I sit up straight and still keep the helmet in clean air. If I'm going fast over 75/80+ I lean forward and get closer to the shield.
If it had to be higher I can just raise it some. If I'm going to be going slow, 50/60 mph, I just take it off. Truly, this is the cleanest air, just make sure you cover your skull and face.
In my opinion the plastic on the 7Jurock is clearer and thicker but both brands are very good products. 7Jurock ships it fast.

Picked up a ClearView 21" with the vent and I must tell you it made all the difference .Even the little lady in the back is also full of praises. Go for it you won't regret it.
