stickiest front tire available

Cobras front and rear for me. They help me do wonderful things on the street and my track day at Oregon Raceway Park last year was outstanding. I ran those tires from edge to edge and had those hot little sticky balls all over the tires.

They didn't give you a hard time at the track day with the rear tyre??? Verboten in Oz......

YOU SCARED the **** out of those little sport bike riders with that big ORCA

Hey guys any recommendations on the stickiest front tire you guys know of it's for my wife's bike. Tire life is unimportant just want great traction while hitting the front brake. the front tire of my wife's bike still have good tread on it but it is 4 years old 23000 miles. I think the rubber is getting a little hard. she's had two instances lately where the front wheel locked up on her during medium hard braking and almost dropped the bike on clean dry asphalt.
She has a Dunlop on it right now and kind of don't want to go back to that if there's a stickier tire available

Thanks, Ridefree
WOW 23,000 miles thats amazing

+1 on Avon/Exedra Max combo - Dropping down from 150/80R17 to 140/75R17 front will also make the front end/maneuvering lighter/quicker/easier to handle - Most that have gone that way seem to like it, I've not seen anyone post negative on it EXCEPT NOT to be done with ABS brakes - Seems like that would really benefit "the fairer sex"........... Can we still say that?  :banghead:

The 140 size front works on all Rockets. Tis the 130 size that will disable the ABS on a Roadster.
Hope this helps.

Still trying to wear out my much maligned Exedra Max Bias belted front tyre 16500 Ks plenty of tread left and it hasn't flung me into the scrub yet! Avon Cobra rear is holding out well 18000Ks and still a bit to go,I will try the Exedra Rear Avon Cobra front combination at the next tyre replacement just to see if any better, but going OK with the present set up, but admittedly I am no Boy racer (BIN DER DUN DAT)so most tyres would be fine for me

Thanks for the advice guys, I was thinking about the avon myself so we went looking for one today. We didn't find one in stock anywhere and would be a week away to order and we want to ride tomorrow. We did find a Michelin scorcher at a bike dealer that had a nice soft rubber compound so we had then install it. My wife feels confident in her Harley again and so do I.
Thanks again guys,
Ridefree
