Sticker shock!!!

I like the guys at my dealership. Generally speaking a good bunch that will help out when the can. However...I asked what they would charge to put my bike on the Dyno just to get some base numbers...no actual tuning...just get base numbers before I install triple K&N's, Jars & PCV-AT...and the answer was...$175. What? I promptly told them to f#ck off that I would find somewhere else to spend my money. I've spent nearly $50k with these pricks in the last 6 months and they pull some bull**** like that? IMO they shoulda done it for free to keep me coming back and spending money. My race team buys Polaris parts at the same dealership all the time...USED to buy parts there I should say.

That does sound a little unreasonable. Have you talked to the owner of the stealership? He may not even know what is going on, I don't think the owner of mine knows a lot of what goes on. His wife does the office, they have a manager and the times I have seen him there he is kind of walking around showing bikes or just talking. If the owner knows, and supports this behavior, I wouldn't go back either.

Diy

I bought my TORS on this site, did the reset and it ran ok. Just a little gurgling in the exhaust. It got worse, so I did the Tune ECU for the TORS and it has been awesome ever since.

Talking with these guys, the K&N under seat is a waste of money. If you want real power, get the three individual K&N with the TORS and download the tune for it. The tunes are free. For insane power, get the Jardan's with the three K&Ns with the download. Many guys have added a Power Commander. Just remember, more power comes with a MPG loss. Good luck.

As a service manager in the automotive industry for 25 years, I have never understood the concept of clubbing my customers.
You have to stay competitive on items as you mentioned, on the technical issues that need special tools and skilled labor, yes you are going to get what you pay for.
It's a balance to cover your overhead and labor, but if you establish a customer relationship that's HONEST and competitive customers will stay loyal to you.
