I seem to have a little problem, maybe someone else has an answer.
Right as I shut her down I hear a short "squeel".
I thought it could be the throttle bodies since they make alot of noise now that the secondaries are gone and I'm running triple K&N's but that doesn't seem to be it.
Has anyone experienced this?
Also, the idle sticks at around 1800rpm once in awhile and I have to shut it off and restart it before it will go back to normal. I can hear the dealer now ... "with all the modifications you've made to the bike we can't diagnose your problem under warranty". So, this is something I'll have to figgure out myself ... anyone run into this issue too?
Thanks guys.

I FOUND THE NOISE! It's the water pump. I had it replaced shortly after taking delivery because it was seeping a bit and dripping on the garage floor. This new one just started squeeling here in the last couple weeks when the bike is warmed up. I found it with a stethescope. I have a trip planed to Canada here in the next few weeks and I have to wonder if it will throw a 7 enroute. What to do, what to do.
Replacing the last one the dealer acted like they were replacing the engine and had to get approval from the Triumph Gods before they even ordered the part. I sure hope we don't have to get someones wife involved with this one, we might never agree on what color the drapes should be.

Water pump

Just be sure the water pump and front engine cover have not been tweaked, it only has to be slightly bent to stress and break its drive shaft that is attached to the oil pump.

If that shaft breaks the drive sprocket will come off and the oil pump will stop and you will stop. I dont want to scare you but it is a possibility and if the oil light comes on do not run the engine.

Gothlander.
