Went on the 94th annual Spring Run with the Muskegon Motorcycle club. Missed a good part of the ride when my buddies Hardley $hit it's dress.

Here is me the day before spiffing up the ole' girl

The ride leaves from Mt. Garfield where they hold the pro hillclimb every other year. This picture doesn't capture the angle of the hill. When your standing at the bottom your nose is almost touching it ! They also dig huge ruts across it just to make it interesting.

There are usually around six hundred bikes that go. This is kinda the spill over area, to the right is where most of the bikes were parked. The misses didn't really get a shot of that area.

The bike in the bottom left of the picture is one that died. That's my buddy Lawrence. We've been friends for over 40 years. That bike came from down south. It was a hurricane Katrina victim. He bought it "as is". It had been completely under salt water. He got a deal on it but said what it cost him to fix it he could have just bought one that wasn't f'd up. He calls it Katrina.

The last pic is of the beginning of the ride. Wanted to get a pic of the line of bikes on the highway but the breakdown got in the way of that.

All in all not a bad day. Not real warm (50 deg F) but sunny and not to windy.

A bad day riding is always better than a good day at work. Too bad your buddy has had so much trouble with Katrina. It may sort itself out in the end.

Nothing like riding when the weather is nice.. We had the blessing of the bikes last Sunday sponsored by the Blue Knights. Not a Triumph to be found, my bike was getting quite a few pictures it was drawing them in like flys.

In Katrina's defense, Lawrence beats everything he owns like a rented mule. Always has. He had just missed a gear an over wound the pi$$ out of it when it clonked out. It would try to start. We pulled the plugs and it was getting really weak spark. It has an after market ignition system on it. I think it f_cked up. As for the future, I think it will be pretty bleak for ole' Katrina. It has rust popping out everywhere on it from the salt bath. He has 3 other Hardleys to choose from. He finally fixed his FLT after he broke the crank doing wheelies. He has another custom softail with an Ultima engine. He also has a custom frame bike that he just put a 140 cu in Ultima engine in. It's supposed to be 165 hp and 170 ft pounds of torque. That one may give my ole' rocket a run for it's money
