Speedo memory lost

Hi

My speedo has reset itself to 0 km. still works, but it's 30000 km out!
The dealer tells me nothing can be done to restore the memory.
Anybody have any ideas?

Punch him in the wind pipe and ask him if he has any other ideas

once he is able to speak again ofcourse

sorry i dont have a serious answer hope u get it sorted that would be a pain in the arse unless you wher selling it as a low ks bike

Bonus
I wouldn't worry about it your service records show the reading and your due for a 30k service just ask the dealer to record 30000 to show the service done and make a note of the date mate..

odometer memory loss
 
When the gauge cluster in my car was repla ed the master odometer in the new was zero. The dealer recorded the actual mileage from the old master odometer and put a decal with that distance on the door jam.

I should think that they can do similar for a motorcycle. If not, you've got a very broken in low miles bike.
