Somewhat new to the R3T Lifestyle..

I put an xcreen on my bike and it is great. I also found a gent on Youtube that had a fabulous idea of putting some yarn are the windscreen to show air flow.
Check this out it is a great idea to check your wind flow.

Oh and welcome from Indiana.

One heck of a nice vid, will have to find some stray yarn.... Back in the 60's, at a local Boys Club, in the Plastics shop, I fashioned more than a few windscreens for my Father and his friends, by baking the plexiglass in a tin box with the red "meat" flood lamps.....also made a metric "**** ton" of candy dishes..BigNorm, i may take a crack at a "Homemade" first, cause it would be very cheap, plus i won't feel guilty trimming it shorter to adjust the air flow to something i can tolerate. i can never seem to hit the right height on the first shot.

Welcome Sparky59, from Maine.

Your buffeting problem may not be your shield, it may be the lack of lowers. I put them on my bike and it remove the buffeting almost entirely.

I found I didn't like the windshield effect so I sold it. However I still have the lowers and would love to sell them to another Rocket owner.

Both of my windscreens came with lowers so I assume that is standard on the Touring. When I rode from Pensacola, FL to home on my 07 Classic, I experienced extreme buffeting with much coming from under the screen. I bought Triumph lowers but for the Classic they are somewhat chincy, ugly afterthought looking but it cut the buffeting way down. When I installed the big Clearview I had to remove the lowers and the buffeting was still significantly diminished over the stock.

I can find no discernible buffeting from under the screen with either of the windscreens on my Touring. I can only suggest that it is because of the nicely done lowers.
