hi,
I thought harley dealership would be good to get new tire installed on rear wheel because there is no nearby triumph dealership and I didnt want to go to 2 tire shops for motorcycles in my city because I was skeptic of them scratching my rim so i went there but what I saw is that one mode of harley bike in showroom was having this Steering damper on it.
Like a shock absorber, it dampens the movement of the steering head. Sportbikes have them because they have aggressive steering and it prevents the "death wobble".
I seriously doubt any HD needs one and the R3 doesn't need one either.

2.5L Rocket's have been known to be prone to slight wobble at speed when, say going over a section of the road where both front and rear suspension is fully extended and then gravity takes over and loads up the suspension again, but that kind of situation can unsettle most road orientated bikes.
So the HD rider was already going around 75 mph or so when he started to accelerate to 120 mph. I went and ate breakfast and came back before he reached the 'wobble' at 120 mph. Good vid though.
OK, but did they change your tire for you? Many HD places won't work on other two-wheeled vehicles cause there is only one real motorcycle, as we all know.....
