Oh yes - do not sharpen your workshop scissors with diamond 1200 grit and then test the edge with your thumb. It hurts. But it´s a neat cut.

Ahhh, life's little learnins.

At age 10 I found that sharpening a Toledo sheath knife with a kitchen knife sharpener on your leg was not a good idea. Got real sharp and they didn't have kevlar jeans back then.
 
If I had a nickle for every time I sliced myself open trying to fix or sharpen something......
