Sissy Bar fitting

Not really, goes on pretty easy. Just a little bit of a balance act getting the 4 bolts on. That and keeping the rubber on while you bolt it down is kind of a pain.

WARNING: The problem with the bolts seizing is because the nuts and bolts are both a soft stainless steel material. Stainless on stainless "picks up" easily. I've had this happen on the backrest and the lowers on the front forks. I now use plenty of anti-sieze grease to prevent this. Hint: this type of austenic stainless is known as "300 series" in North America, not sure what we called it over 'ome (EN maybe?) and usually has a gray satiny appearance and is non magnetic

Scroll down to Sissy Bar and click the blue link for the instruction manual. While you're there take a look at my notes.

I don't think you'll need any more help.

Thanks guys, went on and looks great £100 on ebay including gel backrest...bargain.

In case anyone else needs this advice, what happens is the bolts just dont line up right due to the fender braces or whatever, what worked for me was to put something (like a short 2x4 piece of wood) between the fender and the tire and pull out while screwing in the bolts, this allowed the bolts to line up properly. Unfortunaltely i stripped one before i realized what what happening but used a tap and die to rethread it. good to go now.
good luck.
