Rainman what did you find out about the trim? I ordered the sissy bar as well and asked my dealer about it but he said no I didnt need anything extra. Should be in Wed. si guess Ill know then.

my dealer said they r extra bout $50 pair

when i got mine for the 2007 standard the new sissybar kit came with the new trim pieces. I guess Triumph is now selling kits one piece at a time....jeesh. That's as bad as selling a set of saddlebags on ebay one side at a time.....greedy sorts.

If you order the sissybar from the dealer, its suppose to come with the precut ones as part of the kit.
If on the other hand you get one off fleabay like I did, then you don't (or at least I didn't) get them.
and my dealer said $89. a piece. $196. for the pair.
I used a dremil tool instead. Total cost? $5.00 for extra cut off wheels.

I see...the ebay guy sold them separately. Did you at least know they were missing by his ad or was it misleading? Good reason for neutral or negative feedback.

He might have told me, its been so long ago I don't remember.
But all I really wanted it for was a pattern anyway.
Width, hole diameter, spacing on holes, size of the metal, etc.
so since it was usable, I gave positive feedback, and just look at what a REAL sissybar I've got now.
I'm happy.
