For some reason, my pads on the rear of my bikes wear out sooner than the front pads. I still have a little wear left on the current pads, but was contemplating the ones that Flip has on his web site. He also has EBC rotors as well; so was wondering if it is better to only use those EBC rotors with the EBC sintered pads; for best wear....
Will sinted pads last longer and grip better but your right they wear the rotors a little more but not faster. Flip sellsthe sintered pads run the rotors till they are at the change point then change them. I get 2+ rear sets to a front so this is normal. As long as your rotors are not worn beyond minimum your good to go. Always carry a rear set with you as you can change them on the fly.
Sintering does not change the brake material, only the density of it. Sintering removes space in the brake material matrix by compression, so it may seem harder when actually you're just getting more friction surface available. More friction thus more wear at a cost of better braking. So is sintered bad? Depends on your definition of bad.
